Information seems to be flying around the internet recently regarding the globally leading search engine Google's foray into Heads-Up-Display (HUD) gadget, the Google Glasses.
Google's Goggles are already set to be in testing phase, with a commercial launch expected to be by the end of 2012.
Google Goggle is said to run as a stand alone Android gadget, though it could very well sync up with your handset through Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or 3G.
With Google launching this Goggles, the future could very well be like that of any sci-fi futuristic movies. All the core services of Google could very well be brought down to this Goggles and could possibly keep the users hooked onto using Googles all the time, thereby leveraging potential advertising consumers for Google.
Some of the services that could easily move onto the Glasses include:
1. Google Search (Location Based Search)
2. Google Voice Search (More like Apple's Siri)
3. Google Goggles (Image Recognition)
4. Google Maps (GPS Navigation System)
5. Youtube (Quick recording and uploading using camera from the Goggles)
6. Google Latitude
7. Google SkyMap
Will these services' integration onto the HUD Glasses mark the beginning of a new era of technology and computing?
More importantly, will this mark an end to the mobile handsets by moving all the features on the handset display onto this Google Goggle? Only time will tell....
