TechnoBase Space-A re-discovered malware on the Androidplatform disguised himself as a system update. Program called UpdtBot NQ has been discovered by Mobile Security ResearchCenter and works by sending a sms text message. In the message contained a link to

Once the program is installed it will UpdtBot communicate to the remote server to control it.From there the program will be able to send chain letters to other victims, and even make phone calls, download to install additional applications.
According NQ Mobile, around 160,000 Android devices may have been infectedbut still not surehow the handset will be used by the controller.This program is estimated to be used for a money game scheme.
To avoid this, owners of the Android handset should pay attention to in order to installor download applications from trusted place.
