Tsunami alerts have been issued to 28 nations after the 8.6 magnitude earthquake strike in different parts of India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and some other countries.
In different parts of the India like Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai earthquake was experienced today at around 2.30 PM.
The coastal regions are all evacuated and fishermen are told to move out of the sea.
The fresh 8.1 magnitude after shock tremors are being experiences in some parts of Indonesia, Malaysia, Kolkata, Delhi Langkawi, Bangalore and Chennai.
Phuket airport has been closed due to the Tsunami alerts.
The Metro services in Kolkata are resumed after having stopped due to the warning.
Sea water level at the epicenter [Sumatra] receding indicating Tsunami occurance.
The earthquake waves is said to be horizontal which makes it different and lesser possibility for Tsunami.
But the rescue teams are being sent to the coastal areas and all the cautious measures are being undertaken.
